Birthday Party For Teens

By Sophie Giles

If you are throwing a birthday party for teens, it is always better to keep it fun and interesting. Short of keeping the beer flowing, one way that you can keep the party fun is to play group games.

Party games can roughly be classified into ice breakers and main games. Some of games that you can play are relay games. Then there are specific games like forbidden letter or sound, newspaper fashion show, no mirror makeover, Chinese mimes, balloon truth or dare, find my partner, arranged marriage, tag a girlfriend or boyfriend, cheeto head, balloon buzz, balloon header, balloon wars, barnyard antics, popping balloon partners, pass the hat, pin head, knock-kneed, squeeze play relay,

Other games that your teens can play are truth truth and lie, candy relay game, get to 100, touchy feely spoons, underwater swimming, ping pong ball Races, pop song charades, unwrap it, the greatest story ever told, soda can tower, sign in board, paper clip chain, foot script, draw a house, balloon train race, zip zap, draw a what?, clothing relay.

Now why do teens birthday need to be fun?

It is true that teenagers like to socialize and simply hang out during a party, parties without games tend to become boring and be overtaken by social cliques among the invited guests. Getting everyone involved through party games makes sure everyone gets involved.

Try to incorporate different types of games in your party, with at least one game for the social butterflies and one game for the shy types like the sign-in board game. That should give you a well-rounded party that gives the shy guests with something to do and give attention to attention-hungry teens.

Top Family Reunion Themes

By Stephanie Varney

Family reunion themes bring together an event under one cohesive banner of unity and togetherness. When your reunion has a theme, everyone knows why they're there and what they're celebrating. The theme of the reunion can be seen in every aspect of the event, from the decorations to the invitations to the themed t shirts worn by family members.

If you're putting together a family reunion, you need a great theme to set it apart from an ordinary event. Here are some family reunion theme ideas that stand out. You can use these ideas as is, or use them to come up with ideas of your own.

1. Heritage. A family reunion and heritage go hand in hand, whether that's overtly spoken or not. Everyone present has a common lineage, or has at least married into a common lineage. You all share common ancestors, which gives you an undeniable link with other people at the reunion. If you make "heritage" your theme, you can incorporate genealogy, old photographs, and more into your event. A reunion with a heritage theme might take place at the old family homestead, have a selection of old family recipes to sample, or may display some old family heirlooms for everyone to admire. Use heritage to create a theme that's perfect for your family, and you can't go wrong.

2. Anniversary. Lots of families choose to have reunions around an important anniversary, such as the 60th wedding anniversary of the grandparents. If this is the reason for your gathering, you can fill up your reunion venue with photos of the couple of honor, display mementos from their wedding, create framed photos or placemats of newspaper clippings from the day they wed, and so on. You might even have a minister come and oversee a renewal of their vows.

3. New birth. If a new baby is born to your family, it's the perfect occasion for a reunion. Your family reunion themes can revolve around birth, the actual baby, the parents, or lineage. There's a lot of room for creativity here, as far as decorations, food, photos, and venue go, so use your imagination.

No matter what family reunion themes you're using, don't forget to have custom t shirts made that reflect the theme. Your family will love these, and they can be worn not only as a memento of the day, but as a symbol of family pride. And, after all, isn't that what a family reunion is all about?

Ideas For a Christmas Party

Christmas Party Image
Christmas Party Picture

By Deb Rosenberg

When planning a Christmas party, it is important to keep your guest list in mind. A group of conservative adults would enjoy an entirely different extravaganza than would a group of your closest party friends. As such, there a number of possibilities for throwing your party and spreading some holiday cheer.

If you're looking to have a tasteful party with champagne and gourmet goodies, you may consider a "Winter Wonderland" party. Adorn your home with sparkling crystal, and instruct guests to come in their nicest formal attire. Line the walkway to your home with white luminaries, and use tasteful decorative blue and white lights around the exterior. Candles create a beautiful ambiance; your invitees will feel pampered and special. You may choose to have an ornament exchange at some point throughout the evening. If you wish to liven things up, you may be interested in having the rules of the exchange follow the "rob your neighbor" outline. This creates a fun, interactive atmosphere for all involved.

However, if you and your close friends want to get together to have a holiday bash, you may consider a themed evening. Ask people to dress up as their favorite Christmas character, whether it be Frosty, Santa, Rudolph, or an elf. Bring cookies and favorite drinks to pass, and put up your most festive and fun decorations. Have your friends bring their kids, and play "Secret Santa" when you hand out presents. Perhaps the kids can even have a cookie decorating contest. Everyone will go home feeling that they spent a wonderful evening sharing a laugh with the people they most enjoy.

New York reception lounges remain incomplete with out drinks. You can plan a cocktail party and become a part of it. You can participate in this occasion and interact and mingle with the guests. This cocktail party can be a real fun with a great music.

The wedding reception should include dance. In fact it is a must to go mad and enjoy. The dance should not be formal. The guest should feel free to dance anytime they wish. The music should be fantastic so that the guest can enjoy dancing. It is very important to keep in mind that the host of the evening should be excellent. He should have the talent to keep the guest entertained and involved. No one should be left behind. The DJs are a must in the parties these days especially in places like NYC, etc. They have gained a lot of popularity.

The people in NYC plan their own wedding reception rather than going to an event planner. They organize it in a way which is unique that suits their style and personality.

Beach Wedding Gown

Beach Wedding Gown
By Dennis Estrada, Site
The beach wedding dress is a playful wedding dress with a touch of romance and elegance. The wedding dress is cool enough to handle the summer heat, hot, and humid climate. Since the beach is more of a laid-back atmosphere, the beach wedding dress is less formal.
The common designs are halter, strapless top, or sleeveless wedding dress. In a hot summer days, it helps cool down the bride. As there are opportunities to go barefoot, the bride wears elegant flip flops, beach sandals, or strap sandals.
Even though the wedding dress is more relax, casual, and informal, the bride still must feel special, beautiful, and sexy with the wedding dress. The wedding dress sets the tone for the whole day.
In a spring summer wedding, the bride can possibly find reasonable price on department store and boutique. At the end of the year, the designers may put the wedding dress on clearance to make way for newest design. It is perfect when the bride is planning a wedding on a small budget. The bride can also make her own dress, or borrow the beach wedding dress. A second hand wedding dress is also worth a look.
Since the beach wedding dress can get wet or sandy, the length is usually short or tea length. Furthermore, the bride prefers a washable wedding dress to easily wash off the sand. Planning your own wedding, you need to be mindful of the wedding dress.
The wedding flowers are perfect complement for the elegant wedding dress. Hold a bouquet of white roses or colorful flowers. Add a corsage on the wedding dress too. The florist can also attach flowers on hairclips which can keep the hair in place. It helps on windy day. However, the brides with flowing hair down also look distinguishably sexy.
The beach wedding dress uses soft and long white cotton fabric which easily flows. Due to the delicateness of the wedding dress, the wedding dress is hand-sewn, hand-made, and hand-beaded.

Pretty cups & saucers make nice gift ideas. Raid the charity stores, flea markets, EBay for nice vintage cup & saucer sets. You can fill them with confectionary, cup cakes or the tea sachets as above.

Look for tea-for-one sets comprising a teapot & cup which fit together in one neat package. You can team it with a sachet of specialty tea too.

Let them eat cake!

Why not make a selection of cookies, shortbreads, brownies & mini cakes. You can present them in large confectionary favor boxes.

How about a set of cake servers? There are lots of designs to choose from & they make a stylish & practical wedding favor.

Let them make their own!

Put together a mini recipe book of favorite baking recipes such as bread, scones, cakes & cookies. Alternatively, if you have a family favorite print that out on nice quality paper & team it with a wooden spoon or a set of measuring spoons.

Scones & jam on the lawn!

Give out miniature jars of preserves such as jam & marmalade. If you don't want to make your own buy large good quality preserves from the supermarket & decant into miniature jars, which you can buy wholesale online. Add some personalized labels & present them side by side in a nice box.

An alternative to preserves is honey. Present as above but include one set honey & one runny honey.

Staying with honey, how about a pretty ceramic honey pot & server set? These are widely available from wedding favor stores.

Why not package up sachets of scone mix & mini pots of preserve so your guests can bake their own & have afternoon tea on the lawn at home!

Floral Fantasia

Packets of seeds are a popular choice for wedding favors. Look for seasonal flowers or even herbs & vegetables.

Plant-able seed cards are available in a range of styles & designs. Your guests just need to plant them when they get home.

A wedding is a couple’s big day so every effort should be made to make it the most memorable time of their lives. There can be an idea for each aspect of the wedding starting from the theme to what the bride or groom want to wear or how they want the feel of their wedding to be.

Once the theme of a wedding is decided, everything can be color coordinated with the theme. Necklaces, glow lights, and bracelets can be used to decorate the centerpieces. There are many other ways to decorate the centerpieces. Centerpieces can be made of anything, though bowls of flowers and floating candles are very popular right now. Floating fruit candles would give the whole atmosphere a feeling of spring. Butterfly shaped floating candles can be made to swim in water and the sheer beauty of the sight can be enjoyed. Floating candlesticks can be used to give the look of a precious goblet of light.

Wedding Invitation Trends

Wedding Invitations
Wedding InvitationsBy: Ashley King
The newest trend in wedding invitations is fun and lively. More and more couples prefer modern tones for their invitations to make them less stiff. Formal tones tend to be so serious that people simply set them aside once they know the details. More quirky invitations tend to get a lot of compliments, especially from friends who are yet to be married. A wedding really is something to celebrate and the feel of the invitation should say so.

How exactly does an invitation become more vivid and exciting? The color palette chosen for the set of invites has a huge impact. Although it's still recommended to pattern it according to the colors of the wedding party, it's always good to use bold colors.

Rich jewel tones are the latest craze on the runway and the same goes for wedding invitations. There are a lot of luscious purples, shiny emeralds, warm oranges and electric blues. Gone are the days of being subtle with pastels as a color theme.

As a backdrop, whites are too monotonous and black may be too heavy. The new trend as a base for the crisp jewel tones is grey. It is the perfect background for the stationery to create balance with the rich tones. It is fresh and has a modern feel.

Most couples still go with simple motifs despite the lively color palette chosen. Simplicity and minimalism will never go out of style. Classic lace patterns are still used as an accent even for these stylish wedding invitations.

Having simple motifs, the stationery should have added embellishments such as embossed monograms. The main stationery should also have textures aside from the embossed detailing as it adds to the rich feel that most invitations want to convey. Having a monogram is still recommended but instead of the initial, it should include the full names.

Aside from the latest trends, a couple should always consider their own personality and taste. If there is a way to incorporate their love story in the wedding invitation then do so. Aside from the main invitation, save the date cards, RSVP cards, set cards and menu cards should all be patterned with the same theme. These can still have variations but should be coordinated.

Last but not least, it's always better to shop and decide with a set of intimate friends to make it a more meaningful and personal experience.

Park Wedding

Park Wedding
Park Wedding partyGlacier Park Wedding Resort is the ideal location for an unforgettable wedding. Imagine walking down the aisle facing the majestic mountains of Glacier National Park. On this very special day, let the beauty and grandeur of Great Northern Whitewater Resort be the setting for making your wedding dreams come true. We are nestled against the dramatic backdrop of Glacier National Park - with views that are almost indescribable. A wedding here will be talked about for years.

One of the most beautiful times of the year in Colorado is the late summer and early fall when the leaves begin to change. Mountainsides will be covered with deep reds, oranges, and golden yellows. At this time of year, weddings at venues along the continental divide will be especially spectacular. Perhaps instead of using rose petals, the bride may choose to throw golden aspen leaves. The wintertime doesn't hold back some couples who prefer to exchange vows amongst a winter wonderland with falling snowflakes.

Wedding Party Cruise

Wedding Party Cruise
Wedding Party Cruise
By: sydneyharbourcruise
If you’ve already discussed the venue of your upcoming wedding with your fiancĂ©, then there’s nothing left to say. But if you could still change things, why not consider having a wedding on a cruise ship—you know, a Wedding Party Cruise. Not only will your fiancĂ© love having a Wedding Party Cruise, but for both of you, it will be the most romantic day of your lives.

If you arrange it well in advance, you can have everything done professionally. Usually, the ship’s captain conducts the wedding ceremony with complete legal authority. Alternatively, you can bring your own priest.

After the ceremony, you can have a very private reception, of the size you want. Choose from the many banquet halls, suites and party lounges to host your reception. Or you can host in an open environment with beautiful views of the sea.

For you, the wedding couple, a Wedding Party Cruise is not only romantic but also very economical. Plus, it has other advantages. And with the many discount packages available for newlyweds, you could be in for a big saving!

The ship’s crew does everything it can to make yours a very special day. For instance, you can have an upgrade on your suite for free, a bucket of free champagne and flowers in the cabin, apart from an offering of chocolates. Besides, you could also be invited to dine with the captain, if you like. It’s pampering time for you both, and well the captain and his crew know this.

Before your cruise can begin, look into the finer details of your Wedding Party Cruise, if only to avoid any future hassles. If there is a special brand of champagne or a certain wine you prefer, then inform them in advance, so that they can make sure it is on board. You can also make a date with the beauty salon on board the ship, order your wedding cake, flowers and wedding dinner, right here.

Benefits of a Wedding Party Cruise: Really, you should consider having a Wedding Party Cruise as both you and your guests will have a really good time, apart from which a wedding on a cruise liner is hassle-free. Since all your guests will be aboard with you, you needn’t worry if someone is going to miss it just because he’s caught in a traffic snarl. Of course, this means you won’t get to reach the venue in a limo, but you could reach the cruise ship in one, if you’re particular about it.

And, planning your wedding won’t be as stressful as other brides find it. This is because you will find all the wedding services you require under one roof. If you want a caterer, florist, photographer or anyone else, don’t worry—he’s already trained and ready on board your Wedding Party Cruise liner. This will save a lot of time and bother for you both and you can enjoy your wedding, not worry if everything’s going fine.
